It’s said that everything’s temporary, nothing lasts forever and same goes for tinsel town. Here people who have been enemies for years may hug and patch up over night and the ones who have been the thickest of friends, turn foes in moments. While we have witnessed both the situations over the years, it seems that things aren't hunky dory for some of the Bollywood celebs. And as the world celebrates the International Day of Peace today, we bring out few celebrity duos who we think could bury the hatchet and make peace between them.
Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut:
Things between the two Bollywood divas, Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut’s went sour when Deepika dedicated her ‘Happy New Year’ award to Kangana for her performance in ‘Queen’, to which Kangana had retorted that if Deepika truly liked her performance then she should have called her personally to wish. The two actresses considered to be stiff rivals have been having a tug-of-war for the crown of Bollywood Queen since long now. With both of them indulging themselves in war of words frequently, we hope these women, who once shared cordial relations, kiss and make up soon.
Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar:
Way back in 2007 when Akshay Kumar had four hits in as row while Shah Rukh Khan had two, Akshay had apparently claimed that he was the number one star of the year in a press conference. The rivalry between these two started ever since and the Khan versus Kumar war resurfaced again and again. And recently, when Akshay said that he was not a Khan to release his film on festivals it appeared that animosity is still buried somewhere. Well, today is the ideal day for the two mega stars to patch up and plan a film together.
Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone:
Both Sonam and Deepika debuted in the same year and incidentally their films clashed at the box office. While Dippy walked with all the praises for her performance in ‘Om Shaanti Om’, which was a blockbuster, Sonam's ‘Saawariya’ tanked at the box office. However, they continued to be BFFs (Best Friends Forever). But off-late, Deepika and Sonam have been sharing cold vibes. Some time back Sonam took a dig at Deepika Padukone’s ‘My Choice’ video and soon attempted to clarify that she had been “quoted out of context”. But it was apparent that all was not well between the two during Sonam’s appearance in Koffee With Karan Season 4 with her father Anil Kapoor. When asked about one word that came to her mind for Deepika, her answer was, “An over enthusiastic PR team.” The ball must be in Deepika’s court, but these two beautiful girls need to learn how to chill like other youngsters and let bygones be bygones.
Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan:
The two actors shared great relationship with each other ever since they debuted in Bollywood. While the duo's career graph was almost similar initially, things started to go down the drain when both were competing for chunks of the Bollywood and advertising pie as well. Adding fuel to fire was Imran's wife Avantika Mallik (Ranbir's ex at one point) reportedly making some comments about Ranbir while watching 'Raajneeti'. But things seem to be settled now as we heard that Ranbir was amongst the first few to wish Imran on becoming a father last year and we hope they turn friends again.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra:
Bebo and Piggy Chops have worked together in few films and they were the best of buddies some years back. But with PeeCee stealing the limelight from Kareena in ‘Aitraaz’, their friendship developed a crack. Later they were seen in the 'Don' remake but the duo never got friendly again. Even in an episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’ Season 3, when Kareena asked from where Priyanka got her accent. Pee Cee replied very politely that it is from the place where Kapoor's boyfriend (now husband Saif Ali Khan) got it. Meanwhile, it seems all is well between the two. Apparently, some time back Priyanka had gone to meet Kareena when she heard that Kareena was shooting closeby in the same studio, and Kareena had recently praised Priyanka for her performance in Mary Kom. Hope they strengthen their bond and we get to see them on the big screen together.
Bipasha Basu and Kareena Kapoor:
Their tiff started on the sets of the film, ‘Ajnabee’ where their discomfort with each other became fodder for all gossip columns. Kareena called Bipasha a "kaali belli (black cat)" during the shoot of the film; she also commented about Bipasha's then boyfriend, John Abraham, saying he had no facial expressions. Bipasha then went on to 'Koffee With Karan' and replied to the barb by saying Kareena had way too many expressions on her face while acting. This long drawn verbal spat ensured that the two actresses would never work together again. But now we feel it's high time the ladies patch up!
