Kangana Ranaut and her 'Katti Batti' co-star Imran Khan promoted the movie in Mumbai today. The duo met with the press and spoke about their movie, which is a love story with a twist. Kangana said that the movie is sure to take the audience by surprise as it is not the typical Bollywood love story.
Earlier, Kangana had spoken about the new wave of women-oriented films that has swept the film industry. “The film industry has seen a good response from women oriented stories. My first film ‘Gangster’ was a woman-centric film. The woman was the protagonist. So was ‘Woh Lamhe’, but they were not given big platforms," Kangana had recalled.
The National Award winning actress also pointed out that once upon a time, only "item numbers, comedy and action" were considered mainstream in Bollywood. "But now women-centric films have seen a good growth... it's an achievement,” she said.
Nikhil Advani's "Katti Batti" will release on Friday.
